OVERVIEW
Pastoral counselors need to be well equipped with knowledge about marital relationships and insights into how to manage conflict effectively. Many movies depict the lives of married couples and provide opportunities to examine various dynamics of marital relationships. Watching movies and observing a couple’s relationship dynamic carefully can be a productive learning experience. Students can compare and contrast their observations with the concepts presented in their textbooks and develop creative ways to use the insights gained from the movie in their future marriage counseling.
