    Your goal is not to summarize the plot of the text; rather, you will elaborate on what you believe
    the author is trying to accomplish, what message he or she wants us to learn, how that text gives
    us a better understanding of our world, and how that helps makes each individual reader a better
    and more enlightened person.
    You must include direct quotations from the text to help support your claims. Your analyses
    must be typed, double-spaced, and written in APA format (12-size font, Times New Roman, 1-
    inch margins).
    Your Literary Analysis Paper must be a total of 1,500 words.
    We will review aspects of this draft in class, but the majority of your paper will be written at
    home. For your final draft, all students must submit a paper copy in class and an electronic copy
