Discussion question about virtues, vices, sin, freedom, salvation, and Justice
These past couple of weeks, we have learned and read about virtues, vices, sin, freedom, salvation, and Justice. Suppose we believe that freedom and justice are critical to the secular(non-religious) and religious world as virtues of true belief. Give an example of a person in history or present day that you believe to be a great mentor of this. (Give a quote or brief story that shares your mentors’ virtue of freedom and justice.) Secondly, say that you see these virtues as a gift for human society. How might you advance these virtues, and what do you believe to be the biggest challenge to freedom and justice? Please end your post in ways that helps your peers continue the conversation.
