This essay will be an analysis of one of the literary works we’ve read so far in this course: Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poem “Oh, Think Not I Am Faithful to a Vow” (1922) Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s short story “The Yellow Wallpaper” (1892) William Faulkner’s short story “A Rose for Emily” (1930) Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story “The Birthmark” (Links to an external site.) (1843) Alice Walker’s short story “Everyday Use” (Links to an external site.) (1994) Although this is a first draft, it should not be treated as a “rough” draft.  It will be graded according to the same criteria as the final draft.
