Reflect upon the historical and theoretical works we have discussed and the theories about France, colonialism, islamaphobia, biopolitcs, and camps in the reading. What role do those readings and contiguous disciplines (history, anthropology, and political philosophy) play in the understanding the situation of the Harkis with regards to the racist politics in France? What does it inspire you in terms of accountability and what in your opinions are the conditions to move beyond the current tense situation opposing the French government and the Harkis, and the Harkis and the Algerian government in order to achieve reconciliation and reach a better life for the segregated and abandoned harkis?
