Reading for Character and Imagery

Imagery is the collection of words that together create a picture, or image that appeals to our visual senses.

Read the required section of Milton’s Paradise Lost. Identify one character from Paradise Lostand find imagery associated with that character. What recurrent motifs are you able to find? Explain how the recurrent imagery is used to convey meaning about the character. Be sure to quote from the story and explain how the imagery you have chosen proves your point about character. Try to find images and/or links that have not already been used by your fellow classmates.

Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from required material(s) and/or other scholarly resources, and properly cite any references. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts by Day 7.
