Select and watch a movie of your choosing. Write a 3-5 page, double spaced (and don’t get crazy with the margins) sociological review of the movie based on the guidelines listed below. This is an academic paper and you should refrain from using persona and first-person pronouns except in your conclusion where you can discuss your personal opinion on the movie.You will submit paper via D2L.

Guidelines:

1. Synopsis of the movie:

Storyline and plot of the movie, what is the timeframe/ historic context of the movie, main or pertinent characters in the movie; Keep this part short!

2. General assessment of the movie:

How was the story presented; flashbacks, particular character’s point of view, ect.

Do you think the film maker had a specific intention for this movie? Did they succeed in doing it? (This may not apply to all movies)

Specific scenes or occurrences that stood out as important to the development of the story or how you understood it?

Major points of the movie? Secondary points?

Any unintended consequences of the movie? (May not apply to all movies)

3. Specific assessment of the movie:*
