Read the following attached articles about the marketing research process.
For this assignment, please do the following:
1. Identify a company that interests you and whose industry is surveyed by JD Power and Associates.
2. Check and see if they are also a F100. You can find a list of companies that are F100 here… http://www.
3. The goal is to find a company that is both on the JD Power & F100 list.
4. Check out their social media presence. You can check out all of their pages.. most of them will be at least on facebook, if not instagram, snapchat, and/or Youtube.
5. Write a 2-3 page paper, double spaced, 12 point font, about what you found. Answer the following:
a. Be sure to tell me the company you chose, their JD Power ratings as well as their number on the F100 list.
b. Be sure to tell me your initial observations regarding their social media presence and how customers are interacting with the page. Are they? If so, do customer comments reflect the JDPower ratings? Any surprises?
c. Finally, let’s pretend that your company of choice wants to run a marketing research study regarding the customer experience (aka customer satisfaction). Identify an area where you believe they need to improve. (This insight can come from either their JP Power ratings or their social media interactions.) If there are no areas where they need to improve, think about an area that you think they should monitor (i.e., they should keep an eye on customers who have credit cards… they don’t seem that happy). Define the marketing research problem and the objectives of the study that you would like to design. Use the PowerPoints and the Articles that I posted to help guide you. Cite your references as needed.
