Five Proofs for the Existence of God

1. Read the attached excerpt from Aquinas’ “Five Proofs for the Existence of God”.

2. Pick your favorite of the 5 proofs and rewrite Aquinas’ argument in premise-conclusion form, using your own words. (You should keep the premises and conclusion as regular English sentences; no need to translate into predicate logic or use quantifiers, for example).

3. Write a short paragraph evaluating this argument: is it valid? Is it sound? What do you think is the strongest premise? Weakest premise? Why?
