Advantages and disadvantages of being an entrepreneur
The main advantage of being an entrepreneur is that you can make and
implement your business idea. As an entrepreneur, you make all the business
decisions meaning that you can shape the decisions to mirror your visions you
have for the business. The second advantage is that you enjoy the fruits of the
company. As the financier of the company, you will be entitled to the revenue of
profit earned by the company. Making profits is among the main reason why
people choose to be entrepreneurs (Nasalroad and Stearns, 2014).
On the other side, there are disadvantages too. Since you are the risk-
taker, the losses the business makes will fall on you as the entrepreneur. The
heightened responsibilities that come with making all the significant decisions
make being an entrepreneur tedious and tiresome. Additionally, an entrepreneur
is a risk-taker. There is no guarantee that the business idea will take off and be
successful as envisioned. The increased risks mean that there is guarantee the
entrepreneur will not lose their investment (Nasalroad and Stearns, 2014).
