The future is not inevitable. It is the sum total of the actions and decisions made by people, communities and institutions at all levels of society. In this two part assignment, you are asked to assess the current state of automation in the workplace, project where current trends are headed, imagine the ideal future of automation in the workplace, and identify the steps that could be taken to help achieve your ideal future. The result is hopefully the development of a modifiable viewpoint on automation and the future of work that can serve as a guide and agenda for engaging the future of work.
