Introduction to the Data Analysis

The data analysis paper is to be submitted, via e-mail, at the completion of Module 6.  The data analysis paper is to include the following:

Introduction to the Data Analysis Paper: (Points of Credit 10)

Description of the structure and demographics of the school

Establishes a foundation for the data analysis

Establish the need to focus on this data

Description of the Data: (Points of Credit 4)

How was the data generated?

In what form did you receive the data?

Showing the actual data set in the paper

Identify At Least Five Trends in the Data: (Points of Credit 10)

What does each of the trends mean to you as a savvy school leader?

What areas in need of improvement does the data indicate?

What are the implications of each trend in regard to school performance?

Questions Regarding The Data

Identify at least three questions you have regarding the data: (Points of Credit 6)

Based on the trends identified in the data, develop five solutions to improve or enhance the data shown for each of the trends: (Points of Credit 10)

Each solutions is clearly described and defined.

Rational for selecting each of the solutions.

Describe how each solution relates directly to each of  the specific trend it is to improve or enhance.

Each solution is explained in terms of how it will improve or enhance each trend in the data.

The five solutions should each be a distinctly different means for improving or enhancing the each of the specifics trends in the data

Explanation as to how each of the solutions is supported by course material

Explain as to how each of the solutions is supported by one or more of the Florida Principal Leadership Standards or your local state of school district standards

There needs to be five solutions to address and improve each if the five trends

Report on the five strategies you have developed to work with teachers, fellow administrators or other school staff in implementing the strategies. (Points of Credit 10)

Each strategy is clearly described and defined.

Description of how each of the five strategies is related or supported by   concepts, principles or theories presented our course material, or readings.

Explanation on how each of the five strategies will be used to implement each of the five solutions.

Identify the individual(s) who you would be working with to implement each of the five strategies.

Explanation as to how each of the strategies is supported by course material

Explain as to how each of the solutions is supported by one or more of the Florida Principal Leadership Standards or your local state of school district standards

There needs to be five strategies to use in effectively implement each of your five solutions.

Summary to the data analysis paper: (Points of Credit 10)

Closing statements, drawing the activity together.

Drawing a conclusion(s) and stating opinion (s) from the data analysis and solutions and strategies selected

Statements as to how your participation in this activity has promoted your knowledge and skill as a savvy school leader.

Organization of the paper: (Points of Credit 10)

Concise in presentation.

7-10 double spaced typewritten pages, not counting the cover and references.

Sections are clearly identified.

Professionally presented cover page: title of course, name of the university, students name, instructors name, title of data set.
