In this course, you will write an essay that examines an interesting problem or issue in our world today. Open this document and review the essay prompts. You will choose 1 of these prompts to answer for your essay. Once you have decided on the prompt you find most interesting, respond to the following questions on the Discussion Board.
In 2–3 paragraphs of 6–8 sentences each, respond to the following:
- List which essay prompt you chose and explain why you found the topic interesting.
- Describe what information you already know about the topic that will assist you in writing your essay.
- Describe what research you will need to do and what information you will need to fully develop your essay.
- Explain how you will use outside sources to support your essay. Why do you need to include outside sources when writing an argumentative essay?
