Can you explain what this means — the contemporary use of the internet — in selecting a strategy? Also: Would not a marketing strategy actually need to be tailored or custom for the firm?

The idea of using social media as a marketing strategy is rather broad. I think I get what you are implying here, but it does need to be stated specifically what, about using social media, one would do.
