What is an infographic?

  • An infographic is a visual tool used to provide detailed information in a quick and concise way.  You see them all the time.  As an example, the posters that hang in your doctor’s office are excellent examples of infographics (i.e. Steps to Have a Healthy Heart, etc)
  • Here is a link to tons of examples for inspiration Link (Links to an external site.)

Your infographics should address and explain the following. You should have one infographic per topic:

  • Any First Amendment Concerns that apply to your place of work (Chapters 3 and 4)
  • Due Process
  • Equal Protection
  • Employment Law
  • Tort Law and Liabilities

It is your responsibility to interpret the chapters and apply them to your employees in your education setting.  Make sure you address any steps or consequences with specific details and clarity.  These infographics are to be supportive employee documents in the event you have a violation and/or your employee feels their rights are being violated.  Note: these infographics should support you as the director or owner as well as your employees.  Make sure you are not presenting one-sided information. Make sure you consider public relations as well.  These should be friendly and informative infographics.
